Game two
In the first game we put off playing the game until late, and because of that, the only time we could meet was late at night. This time we wanted to avoid the same fate, so we started planning out when we were going to play the game in advance. Unfortunately, our first meeting time did not work out, and we had to pick an alternative time. We actively communicated in our group chat and picked a time. We designated someone to pick up the game before the meeting and met at 7 Pm in the cub. The new meeting time worked out much better.
Throughout the game, each member of the team contributed communication in their own ways, and this affected our play style. For example, Bobby would spend a long time thinking about his moves, and while this was good because he would make good moves for the team; it was also bad because while he was spending a long time on his moves, the rest of us would get board and Luca and I would start holding side conversations and get distracted.
At one point throughout the meeting, myself, and a couple of other group members started to get off-topic, and Bobby got us back on topic. Once Bobby got us back on topic, the meeting progressed like normal.
Fishers’ model was very evident from the beginning. Right at the start of the meeting Luca came forward with a problem and asked us how we wanted to solve it. We each gave input and all agreed on a way to move forward. Whenever we had a problem that needed addressed, someone in the group would ask other members of the group what they thought about the problem. For example, at the beginning of the meeting when Luca came forward with a problem, the first thing he did was ask us if we also noticed the problem and what, if anything, we wanted to do about it. This was a good way to make sure that everyone identified the problem, and that it was a problem that affected the whole group. We took a similar approach to this when we decided on the meeting time.
