This round of Zombicide seemed like it was a simple version of the game that was easier to win. It was a nice introduction to the game and its rules and made it easy to get a hang of how the game is played. Before we started, we looked at all of the pieces and learned what they were. This helped once we started so we knew what pieces we needed and when. We would rotate and have everyone read a part of the rulebook so that everyone was involved and engaged. Once we felt that we had a good enough feeling for the rules of the game, we unanimously decided to begin. As we were playing, we discussed one another’s moves before doing them, and when making moves for ourselves we looked at the situations that our teammates were in and how we could benefit ourselves the most. When we weren’t sure about how something was to be done, we would stop, look at the rules, and decide if any changes had to be made. Since it was our first time, we would sometimes cheat and take back moves that we performed or would reroll in important situations which I wish we wouldn’t have done. I think our mistakes should be part of the outcome of the game and any decisions made cannot be undone. After the game, we congratulated each other on winning the game and communicated to each other about what needs to be done for class on Friday, and noted that the games from now on should be faster since we know most of the rules. I enjoyed working with this group and look forward to more rounds of Zombicide.
