There was no particular feedback that I was addressing during this game. I tried to be more cooperative and argue less with my team members. If I suggested an idea that no one else agreed with, I would not push the issue. I tried to talk at least a little less than I did in the previous game. In all, I mostly addressed issues no one spoke about, but things I thought I needed to work on.
In our second game, different communication styles were exhibited by everyone at different points. The communication styles exhibited my teammates were mostly assertive with one or two members being passive. None of the communication styles exhibited during the game seemed to hurt our progress. Assertive communication was the most valuable and useful for gameplay, especially when discussing strategy. One set of the communication styles discussed in class is not more useful than the other and can both be leveraged.
Our team clearly follows Fishers' Model as we have conflict when we all have different ideas, emergence when we choose which strategy to follow and reinforcement when we play through the game. When we first meet up, we go through the orientation stage where we are uncomfortable with the small talk until everyone arrives. As we all come up with different strategies, we go through the conflict stage were we explain our approach to the situation. The emergence stage is when we all decide on which strategy we will go with. The reinforcement stage is when we successfully play the game and finish our meeting. There are no specific strategies we seem to use for each phase exept to get things done quickly.
