Brfore playing the game, we created a group on the app GroupMe for us to be able to communicate with one another. We didn't really communicate much before playing the game except for when and where to meet up. We all agreed on the first day that we would meet and play the game at the library, and we found a time that worked with everyone.
The first day we met up to play the game, only four of us were able to show up as Tristan was struggling with the app, and wasn't getting any of our messages. I emailed him after the rest of us had met and gone over the rules, letting him know what we had got done as well as when and where we were planning on meeting up again. Josh and I then were able to speak with Tristan the next day after the first meeting because we share a class with him. He told us that he would not be able to make the second meeting because he had a class at that time. The rest of us met later that day to actually play the game.
The first day was when we went over the rules and began a trial game to work out what we didn't understand. Josh read out the rules to the rest of us, and any time one of us had a question, we would discuss it until we all agreed and understood. We then played the game, and again would explain if anyone was confused about something.
The second time we met up and actually began the game for real is when most of the disputes came up. The disputes were little more than confusion, and there was usually a clear answer that everyone agreed and was happy with.
There were a few times when we had a dispute about strategy. For the most part, everyone would take turns saying what they thought was the best strategy and at the end everyone would state whose strategy they thought was best and why. There was one time where we couldn't come up with a solution, and so we decided to voted on the solution. At one point when I was disputing with Josh about which strategy to take, I had realized the validity of his statement and decided he had a good point. I thus decided to go with his idea and it was one of the major reasons we won the game.
Overall it didn't seem like anyone was really dominating the conversation and contributed more or less equally. Dylan was probably the most quiet out of everyone, but he spoke up when he needed to. There was not much communication after everyone had left after the game, except for joking with one another in the chat.
