When we first got the game, no one knew anything about it. At first we started to pull the game out to see all the pieces that we had. One person read the rules while the rest of us listened. When something didn't go into much detail we asked questions about that rule and how we would solidify it. After realizing that it wasn't the best way to go through the rules, we took a different approach which seemed to work a bit smoother. One person read while one wrote down the rules that didn't go into much detail. We would discuss and move on. During the game we would often have to refer back to these when we still weren't quite sure. It helped keep the disputes and arguments away from the game. Everyone in the group communicated well, even when the game didn't make it easy. There were no big arguments or even others talking over each other. When we hit a block, we would all voice our opinion and then check the rules. If we were still confused we all eventually came to a mutual agreement. One issue that we had was trying to figure out when to move the zombies. Sometimes we would forget or we would maybe move them too far. After the game we all agreed it was pretty painful, but the more we play the game the easier it would be. I don't think any of us expected it to be as complicated as it was.
